In 2007 geomorphologist and National Geographic photographer James Balog set out to record the melting of glaciers world wide. This incredible film documents that effort over a five year period. No need for a spoiler alert that the news is not good–and that was 12 years ago! But the cinematography is breathtaking and includes footage unlike anything I have ever seen. This is probably one of those documentaries that everyone but me has seen, but if you haven’t and if you agree with those who say it’s not too late to do something about climate change, then I urge you to watch it. Post covid resolution: figure out how to get more proactive about climate change and its devastating consequences.
