Don’t confuse this with a 2020 horror movie with the same name. Make sure you watch the Harry Dean Stanton one. At age 89 Stanton gives his last performance (he died in 2017–the same year the movie was released). It is a beautiful goodbye from a wonderful actor. Stanton plays a loner in a small town (most likely in Arizona?) facing the inevitable. If you need action and thrills, this is not the movie for you. But if you like small films with developed characters, meaningful themes and existential reflection, I urge you to watch it. Scenes like the one where he sings “Volver” are unforgettable. As usual, let me know if you agree.
“Lucky” (Kanopy) (also amazon–but we’re mad at them)
