I haven’t seen this yet, but I asked my lawyer friend, Joel, to review a “legal but fun themed” film. So here it is. And a reminder invite to my readers–please send me your reviews. I don’t want this to be all about my meanderings.
A fun legally themed movie is The Talk of the Town (1942) directed by George Stevens. It stars Cary Grant, Jean Arthur, and Ronald Colman. Great script. Sophisticated dialog about legal theory made palatable for a movie audience. Innocent man on the run for a murder he didn’t commit. Heroine faced with two classic suitors – the pirate and the good provider. A ringing endorsement of the rule of law and a fun movie to watch.
